Strength and Movement
I offer classes, personal training and strength programmes for anyone interested in finding joy in moving their body and building fitness for longevity and health. I bring over 30 years of experience as a professional acrobat, mover and choreographer, and a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor Qualification (Level 4 EQF).
Combining the playfulness and excitement from circus and theatre, with research-backed methods for building strength as our bodies age, my aim is to create sessions that feel fun and supportive to come to, while still combining mobility, cardio and strength into a solid workout. Functional, full-body movements and weighted exercises adapted to each individual’s ability will challenge balance and co-ordination and train both muscles, bones and brain!
I welcome all genders (including trans-gender) to my classes, but will centre the latest research around women’s bodies and physicality to counter a traditionally male-centred approach in the fitness industry. I bring personal experience of injury rehab, peri-menopause, pregnancy & childbirth* and the dramatic effect these can have on your body, but also how these changes can be an opportunity to change and rebuild stronger.

*I have personal experience and basic training about pregnancy and post-partum training, but not specialist qualifications, so if you are dealing with any specific issues I would refer you to colleagues who know more.
Classes
Train in a supportive and friendly class with other participants to improve strength and functional movement. All classes include a mobility section, movement warm-up and a strength part where we use weights and bodyweights to build strength. We finish with a stretch-down bringing our heartbeat right down again. We will build good technique so that you can find your best form, to then go on to push your limits safely! Personal Training
1-to-1 sessions bespoke to you, your body and your goals, allowing us to drill into good form and technique, focus on areas that you want to get stronger in. We will pick exercises best fitted to your body and aims and break down anything you find challenging. These session will help you to progress quicker and feel more confident in other activities or classes you take part in. Available to take place indoor or outdoor according to your preference and also available as 2-to-1 sessions if you want to book with a partner or friend! Prices from £50 per session for 1:1 and £60 for 2:1.
Fitness Consultancy
Know you need to build strength, but don't know where to start? This is a one-off consultancy where we look at where you are, what you want to achieve and what things you enjoy. From this I will suggest different ways you can achieve that and a weekly schedule that feels achievable; looking at local classes, active things to do with your kids or friends or even Instagram rehab specialists to follow for daily mobility. I will also provide a basic home strength program for you to take away. One-off fee of £75.
Home Strength Programs
Want a customised program to do at home or at the gym, but can't commit to weekly PT sessions? In this session we look at your current level and strength, areas you want to focus more on or goals you want to achieve and I'll create a 6-weeks bespoke program for you to take away. We go through form and technique of each exercise and make adjustment to work for your body. Possibility to add a half-way check-in after a couple of weeks to check in on form and progress, in person or online. Contact me to discuss pricing.
